What Health Is Not

Unfortunately health is not only the mere absence of disease.

Health is not only about low-carb, high fat, no-yeast, or other silly notions of diets. Nor is it infatuation with this mineral or that vitamin.
Health is not living with regrets, nor its obsession with control of life.
Health is not the euphoria of eating nor is it the denial of dieting.
With rare exceptions diseases are not sudden departures from health.
Before we become sick enough for a doctor to diagnose disease, we go through variable periods of a dis-ease state. It is during this state of dis-ease that we have the most potential to use nutritional, environmental, our body's self regulatory healing system and fitness approaches to achieve optimal health.
